Employer Rights Remain in Jeopardy: Act Now

ACTION ALERT

Chamber friends,

We have joined forces with the U.S. Chamber and now need your help.

A little over a month ago, President Biden nominated Lauren McFerran for another five-year term at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). McFerran is the current chair and has presided over an NLRB that has abandoned its statutory obligation of neutrality and instead become increasingly bold in advocating for union priorities. Should the Senate confirm McFerran, the ideological slant of the NLRB will continue to be anti-employer and anti-worker rights until August of 2026, regardless of the election outcome.

We feel that if our Senators (Sinema and Kelly) receive some pushback from the Arizona business community, they will not support the nomination. This Action Alert coincides with an Ad campaign being launched by the U.S. Chamber in Arizona, so your quick action is needed.

How You Can Help:

1.      Call the two senators and leave a voice mail message respectfully requesting they vote no for Lauren Mc Ferran's nomination to the National Labor Relations Board because her policies do not help small businesses.

·        Senator Kyrsten Sinema, DC Office: 202-224-4521

·        Senator Mark Kelly, DC Office: 202-224-2235

2.      Forward this email to others in the business community

Background

Earlier this week, the U.S. Chamber launched a Facebook digital ad campaign in Arizona to encourage local outreach to Senators Sinema and Kelly and urge them to vote no on McFerran’s nomination. The campaign links to this U.S. Chamber blog post that details the business community’s concerns and includes a “call to action.”

We encourage you and your associates to weigh in directly and urge Senators Sinema and Kelly to oppose McFerran’s nomination to the NLRB.  Please see our blog post above for talking points.
