2023 Women of Distinction Award nominations due January 31


The Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County is seeking nominations for its prestigious 2023 awards:


  • Woman of Distinction award honoring exceptional women whose vision, leadership and service positively impact the community.

      

  • Young Woman of Tomorrow award recognizing a young woman in high school, college or advanced training in Waukesha County, under age 25, who demonstrates sustained excellence, accomplishments and creativity through academic and extracurricular involvement.


The 2023 award honorees will be recognized at the 39th annual Women of Distinction in-person luncheon on Friday, May 12, 2023 at the Brookfield Conference Center.

2023 grant letters of intent due January 13


The Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County (WGF) is accepting letters of intent for grants it will award in 2023. The WGF will award grants up to $20,000 each for selected programs or projects.


Each year, the WGF awards grants to local nonprofit agencies to support projects and programs that provide opportunities for women and girls of all ages. Grants are awarded for specific, measurable programs that advance the health and well-being, self-sufficiency and empowerment of women and girls in Waukesha County. 


Letters of intent for 2023 grants are due in the WGF office by noon on Friday, January 13, 2023. Applicants may submit letters of intent for more than one program or project. Applicants will be notified by Wednesday, February 1, 2023, if they are selected to submit a full grant proposal.

The Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County, established in 2004, seeks to aid and enrich the lives of women and girls so they become thriving residents of their communities. Since its inception, the Women and Girls Fund has awarded more than $1.4 million to nonprofit organizations that promote the health and well-being, self-sufficiency and empowerment of women and girls of all ages.
