As part of our ongoing coverage of student loan forgiveness, please note that the Biden administration extended the moratorium on the repayment of federal student loans until June 30, 2023 or when the litigation over implementation of the student loan forgiveness program is resolved. Student Loan Payment Moratorium Extended to June 30, 2023
The moratorium on payment of federal student loans was extended to June 30, 2023 or until the Supreme Court rules on the Biden Administration's student loan forgiveness program. Should the Supreme Court not rule by June 30, the moratorium will be extended to August 29, 2023. The moratorium covers all federally held student loans regardless of who services them.
