Post-COVID, Academy Prep saw the need to strengthen our academic support in order for our students to maintain our standard of academic preparedness, so we partnered with Catapult Learning. Catapult utilizes research-based programs to serve Title I students who learn in private schools. Through onsite small-group academic intervention and one-on-one, direct-instruction tutoring, students who have not yet achieved grade-level mastery in reading and math receive twice weekly support from onsite certified teachers who utilize data from iReady testing to tailor instruction to each student’s needs.
The goal of the partnership is to empower students by building and reinforcing foundational skills necessary for academic success. With this additional support, Academy Prep can ensure that all students are inspired to find success while engaging with our rigorous middle school curriculum.
In addition to academic support for students, Academy Prep faculty and staff also receive instructional coaching through the Catapult partnership. A coach observes classes, reviews lesson plans, and confers with teachers to help them grow as educators and better serve all of our students.
