Absorb Launch

Absorb, our new learning management system, will be released in 1 week on Tuesday, 30 July! Absorb will replace AXIS as the online place for cadets to complete courses and engage with promotion self-study materials. Cadets should find the new interface to be intuitive and easy to use.

First time login

The first time you login to Absorb several things will happen. First your account will be created, and then your prior completions will be loaded into the system. This can take several minutes so please be patient as your account gets configured.

If you have a large number of prior completions, you may note that not all of them load during that initial login. Additional completions will continue to load on subsequent logins until all of them have been filled in.

Getting started with Absorb on 30 July

There are several links for Absorb access, however the most direct for cadets is now titled “Online Learning and Tests” and can found at eServices > Menu > Cadet Programs > Online Learning and Tests

Aerospace lessons are now in sequential order

Cadets will notice that Absorb offers their Aerospace Dimensions modules or Journey of flight assessments in sequential order. For most cadets, this will make figuring out what to do next easier.

Cadets that have completed aerospace modules out of order

Most cadets begin with Aerospace Module 1 and progress through the aerospace content in order. If this is you, then Absorb will be all set to help you know what you need to do next.

Cadets who previously completed some aerospace modules out of numerical order will need to check their Cadet Promotion Track Report in eServices to see if they need an aerospace credit for their next promotion by going to eServices > Menu > Cadet Programs > Cadet Promotions Track Report.

Absorb is checking for the aerospace module assigned to the Achievement you are working on. If you've completed that module for an earlier Achievement then your Absorb account will think you are all set, but you still will need to complete an aerospace credit. In this situation, you will be able to find a new-to-you aerospace module in the Honor credit section of the Achievement tab in Absorb.

Milestone exams

Milestone exams have not changed. They are still located in the eServices Learning Management System and can now be accessed by going to

eServices > Menu > Cadet Programs > Milestone Exams

Tracking promotion progress for cadets

Cadets can access their Cadet Promotions Track Report to track their promotion progress. This report is available to all cadet at eServices > Menu > Cadet Programs > Online Learning and Tests
