HMAA System Upgrade

In keeping with our commitment of excellent service to our clients and members, HMAA upgraded our claims and benefits system on January 1, 2024. As part of this upgrade, changes were made to some of our services including your monthly premium bill and a new member online portal. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience during the upgrade to our system and portals. Please share this information with others in your company.

Member Online Portal

HMAA members may access their ID cards, plan benefits, eligibility, and claims information securely through our new online portal for services rendered beginning January 1, 2024. Our new portal is powered by HWMG and Javelina web, and other features include self-registration, the option to receive only paperless EOBs, and a resources dashboard.


The new portal requires self-registration to create a new account. Members' login information to access our old portal will not work in the new system.

Your Bill for February 2024 Premiums

We mailed or e-mailed your bill for February 2024 premiums in mid-January. Bills are also viewable online at hmaa.com/billpay. Here is some information about your bill. 

1.  Date Billed

The date of your bill.


2.  Payment Due Date

The date your total amount is due.


3. Policy and Division Numbers

Your HMAA group policy and division number.


4.  Coverage Summary

This section summarizes your February 2024 eligibility.


5.  Billing Summary

This section summarizes premiums billed, fees (if any), and the total amount due for February 2024 premiums, including any adjustments resulting from 2024 eligibility changes received December 2, 2023 to January 9, 2024. It does not include outstanding balances, payments received, or adjustments for 2023. Those are on a separate bill if applicable.


6.  Payment Coupon

If paying by check, please include this coupon and mail your payment to the address shown

7.  For Coverage

The first day of the coverage month.


8.  Current Charges

This section shows your members with February 2024 eligibility. It includes each member’s HMAA ID number, last name, first name, coverage level, plan benefits, and February 2024 premium. A hyphen will appear for non-covered benefits.


9.  Adjustments

This section is for adjustments made to your account. It does not include adjustments for 2023 because those are on a separate bill if applicable.


10.  Fees

Fees billed to your policy (if any).



11.  Total Current Month Premiums, Adjustments, and Fees

The total amount due.

 

In mid-February 2024, you’ll receive a bill for March 2024 premiums including any credit balances for 2023, unless you asked to receive a refund check.

 

Bills are viewable and payable online at hmaa.com/billpay or by check.

Cervical Cancer Awareness Month

January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. It’s important to get regular screenings as a proactive step in ensuring long-term health. Cervical cancer screenings including cytology (pap tests) and HPV tests are crucial tools in identifying potential abnormalities and are covered by HMAA in accordance with plan benefits.
