Tuition Information and Planning

How much has tuition decreased for K-12 at AYA?

Thanks to the Atid plan, AYA is bucking the national trend of tuition increases that consistently outpace inflation. Compared to the 2024-25 tuition trajectory before Atid, families are seeing an average decrease of 15.5 percent across K-12. This is part of our commitment to making high quality Jewish education more accessible.
Is there a plan for further tuition reduction?

Yes, the AYA Atid plan is set to reduce tuition costs by approximately one-third over the course of the five-year plan. While we aim to make our operations more cost-efficient, we remain committed to continuously improving the quality of Jewish education and community at AYA.

Early Childhood Program (ECP) Specifics

Why was there a tuition increase in the ECP?

After careful deliberation, this change was made for the following reasons:

Key Reasons for this Adjustment Include:

  • Adherence to Child-Teacher Ratios: Our program strictly adheres to specific child-to-teacher ratios, ensuring individualized attention and a nurturing environment for each child.

  • Extended Hours: Because ECP will now only offer a 5-day option, teachers and faculty will be on campus more. The change in tuition is partly a reflection of these extended hours and an effort to continue providing the highest quality care and education.

  • Market Trends: Similar to other ECP programs, market prices have increased. This trend affects both operational costs and salaries, necessitating an adjustment in our tuition to align with these changes.

  • Investing in ECP Experience: We are fully dedicated to continually improving the ECP experience, which includes investing in resources and enhancements that benefit our children's learning and development.

  • Attracting and Retaining Quality Teachers: We are committed to ensuring the highest standards of teaching and care for our Early Childhood Program. To attract and retain the best educators, we need to offer competitive salaries, which is reflected in the tuition.

What happens in the ECP schedule after 12:30 pm? Is naptime mandatory?

In the ECP, Teenoki and K'ton Ton groups nap from 12:30-3 pm. Nitzanim and Chaverim have a rest time from 2-3 pm, during which they can engage in quiet activities or nap. At 3 pm, all ECP children receive an afternoon snack and prepare to go home.

Does Chaverim have a nap or rest period?

Chaverim has a rest time from 2-3 pm, for quiet activities or napping.

Can my ECP child attend only 2 or 3 days a week instead of 5?

For inquiries about part-time attendance in the ECP, please contact Andi Bonner, Director of Enrollment Management, at abonner@akibayavneh.org; 214-295-3410.

Where is the tuition contract for my ECP child who is re-enrolling in Nevatim, Teenoki, K’ton Ton, and Nitzanim?

Submit the 2024-25 ECP Program Selection Form. Once submitted, the office will post the correct contract to your AYA Connect account.

How will Discovery for ECP work next year with the school day ending at 3:30 pm?

We’re developing Discovery options for Nitzanim and Chaverim for next year. We are finalizing the details and will update parents as soon as possible.

Fees and Contracts

Are all fees per student or are some per family?

All fees are assessed per student.

Why can’t I see the contract after my spouse has signed it?

Go to files and forms under your name after you sign into AYAConnect and make sure “Show completed forms” is clicked on. You will see all past contracts and forms for each of your students.

What is the $56 Blackbaud fee on the tuition contract?

The $56 fee listed on the tuition contract is an administrative fee charged by Tuition Management for processing the enrollment contract. This fee is paid directly to Tuition Management, a third-party service.
