Items may be placed in the tubs located in the parlor starting this Sunday, June 4 until June 25. Thank you for your help!

YOUTH MISSION TRIP FUNDRAISER

The youth group is raising support toward their mission trip and are asking church members for donations. Choose an envelope from the board in the Welcome Center with the amount you’d like to give. Scan the QR code and give online, or drop a check in the display box or offering plate. Be sure to write “Youth Mission Trip” in the Memo line.

Due to Camp Solid Rock there will be no Wednesday morning studies next week at 9:00 AM in the Church Parlor. Wednesday night studies however will continue at their normal time at 6:00 PM at the home of Lea Anne Parker. The Wednesday night group will continue the study of Mark from last semester. Study books for “The Fruit of the Spirit” are available in the Parlor for a cost of $10.00. Questions? Contact Amy MacCaughelty at 205.706.6016 or at amycmac6@gmail.com.

VOICES OF THE VALLEY

This summer the men of Altadena will be scaling back our Monday morning gatherings to a monthly meeting for something we call Voices of the Valley. Following with the summer preaching series, our theme is “Fruit of the Spirit.” Each month, a voice (man) of the Valley (our church) will share how God has been working a particular fruit in his life. Join us June 12, July 17, and August 7 from 6:30 - 7:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall. If you feel that God has been working a particular fruit in your life and are open to share, contact Blake Harris at blake@avpc.org.

FAMILY SERVES INITIATIVE

It is our practice at AVPC to ask all our members to help out from time to time with some light volunteer work to serve the church in one of four areas. We call this our “AVPC Family Serves” initiative. If you have not taken advantage of the opportunity to serve yet, click HERE to be taken to our website and find out more details about our Family Serves initiative. Then complete the simple form to join others in serving your church family or to opt out of this. All those not opting out (no reason need be given for opting out) will be asked to serve from time to time. Questions? Contact the church office 205.967.0680 or email christine@avpc.org
