WISA Sustainable Future Competition – Submissions Open!

The Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Aeronautics (WISA) has launched the Sustainable Future Competition. This is a pitch competition providing non-repayable funding of up to $50,000 to fund the most promising initiatives that will foster sustainable aeronautics, within small- or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Southern Ontario.

ATAC Signs MOU with CCAA on Flight Instructor Micro-Credential Project


CCAA was awarded funding under the Sectorial Workforce Solutions program to develop and implement industry led training and upskilling for the aviation and aerospace industry. The primary focus of this agreement is for ATAC to collaborate with CCAA to develop an online micro-credential for upskilling Flight Instructors. We are now seeking volunteers to participate as Subject Matter Experts. Contact Wayne at wgouveia@atac.ca. This product will also be used as proof of concept for future work by ATAC.

MFC as a New Base Manager


Chris Walsh has been promoted from the Director of Quality/Base Manager to the role of Managing Director of MFC Training. In this new role, Chris will be responsible for the overall strategic leadership and management of MFC, continuing to identify and achieve operational efficiencies and capturing growth opportunities. Chris started his career with MFC Training in 1997 as a student pilot, progressing through instructor roles before moving into management in 1999 as Assistant Chief Flight Instructor for the satellite base in Summerside, PEI. Chris took on his current role as Director of Quality/Base Manager in 2013.
