The next ASPTEA membership meeting is scheduled for September 14th at 5:30 pm. 

This will be an elections meeting and restricted to Members Only.

The positions that are up for election this year are:

Vice President: Colleen Ostrander

Secretary: Beth Benning

Director at Large: Lisa Huggins-Hubbard

Director at Large: Ron Ramirez

Director at Large: Court Hood 

All have indicated that they intend to run for re-election.

Should a member wish to run, they may be nominated by a letter signed by ten members in good standing and filed with ASPTEA Secretary Beth Benning no later than 72 hours prior to the September 14th General Membership meeting. Nominations may also be made from the floor at this meeting. 

Employees who are not fully vaccinated and choose to voluntarily travel on personal business outside the state of Arizona will need to follow the travel quarantine requirement upon their return. Employees who are fully vaccinated are exempt from the travel quarantine requirement.

 

Travel Quarantine Requirements (for individuals not fully vaccinated):

 

Individuals that travel should get tested for COVID-19 3-5 days after travel and are required to stay home and self-quarantine for a full 7 days after travel.

 

Even if you test negative, stay home and self-quarantine for the full 7 days. If your test is positive, isolate yourself and report your positive test result to your department HR liaison who will provide you further instruction.

 

If you don’t get tested, stay home and self-quarantine for 10 days after travel. Avoid being around people who are at increased risk for severe illness for 14 days, whether you get tested or not.

 

If you choose to voluntarily travel, you will need to use your own accrued leave to complete the self-quarantine period if you are not vaccinated and if you cannot telework. Ability to telework during self-quarantine is at the discretion of your department head.

 

Voluntary travel is defined as any travel outside the state of Arizona for any purpose other than a government ordered directive to travel (IE military deployment). Employees who travel out of state on non-voluntary travel status are still required to quarantine upon return if not vaccinated.

 

Please be aware, departments providing critical services may freeze approval of vacation time if necessary, to ensure adequate staffing levels.
