This issue of The Express highlights the following new/updated resources:

In case you missed it, we just released a digest of all ASPR TRACIE-Developed Resources during calendar year 2020. We encourage you to monitor the National Institutes of Health Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Treatment Guidelines and CDC’s Coronavirus webpage, and reach out if you need technical assistance (TA).

New! Baltimore Convention Center Field Hospital Electronic Health Record (EHR)

Diane Constantine, Director of Clinical Informatics, University of Maryland Medical System, and Tiffany Kuebler, Co-Medical Director, discuss how multiple stakeholders collaborated to implement a EHR at a surge facility at the Baltimore (MD) Convention Center in this brief webinar. New: Michigan’s Approach to Administration of Monoclonal Antibody Treatment

Dr. William Fales, State Medical Director at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, describes the statewide approach and support of monoclonal antibody therapy in various healthcare settings in this brief webinar.

New: COVID-19 Vaccine Resource Collection

This Resource Collection focuses on vaccine-specific plans, tools, templates, and other immediately implementable resources to help with COVID-19 preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation efforts. The related TA response was recently updated and includes links to resources related to the approval, allocation, distribution, and administration of vaccines to prevent COVID-19.

New: Hospital Operations Toolkit for COVID-19: Patient Care – Fatality Management

This section of the toolkit includes information and links to resources specific to COVID-19 fatality management planning, capacity considerations, logistics, and emotional support for patient loved ones and hospital personnel.

Updated: Behavioral Health Compendium

This interagency product, compiled and maintained by ASPR's Behavioral Health Team and Division of Recovery, was designed to help regional emergency coordinators and federal and state planners support stakeholders in various areas of COVID-19 response and recovery. It features sections on steady state programs, grants, impacted HHS programs, online resources and training, waivers and flexibilities, and data sources that include behavioral health components.

New Resource: Arizona Surge Line

Arizona Surge Line facilitates the interfacility transfer of patients during a healthcare surge. An operating manual describes the planning, execution, and outcomes of the program during the COVID-19 response and its applicability to future emergencies. Links to other resources include webinars introducing the service; process flow maps; protocols and other resources for participating hospitals, post-acute care facilities, and volunteer critical care and palliative care physicians; the executive order establishing the service; and news articles.

Volunteering with the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC)

The MRC is a national network of volunteers, organized locally to improve the health and safety of their communities. Individuals interested in volunteering should contact the MRC unit closest to them, which can be found by visiting the Find an MRC page and selecting their state. Once they locate a unit in their area, the MRC unit leader's contact information can be found by clicking on the "Details" button for that unit. The unit leader will be able to provide information on how to become a volunteer. For those interested in assisting with COVID-19 vaccination efforts, unit leadership will also be able to tell them whether the unit is currently involved in or planning vaccination activities.

COVID-19 Clinical Rounds Peer-to-Peer Virtual Communities of Practice are a collaborative effort between ASPR, the National Emerging Special Pathogen Training and Education Center (NETEC), and Project ECHO. These interactive virtual learning sessions aim to create a peer-to-peer learning network where clinicians from the U.S. and abroad who have experience treating patients with COVID-19 share their challenges and successes; a generous amount of time for participant Q & A is also provided.
