The 19th International HLA & Immunogenetics Workshop (IHIWS) will be held in Numazu, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan on May 19-24, 2026.

The 19th IHIWS is an exciting opportunity for experts in the field of HLA and immunogenetics to come together and discuss the latest research and advancements in the field. This event will bring together researchers, clinicians, and industry professionals from around the world to share their experiences, insights, and knowledge.

The ASHI Board of Directors come together for an in-person meeting three times a year. Prior to the meeting, Committee Chairs and Program Directors contribute to a division report of informational items for the board's review and discussion. At the January 2022 Board meeting, the board agreed to release these committee reports to membership. The 2023 ASHI Election is underway! Only Full Doctoral and Full Non-Doctoral members are eligible to vote. Ballots were distributed to these members in late-May and must be received at ASHI Headquarters by July 31, 2023. Ballots received after July 31, 2023 will be invalid. 2023 EMO-1 and HT-1 Reports

Reports for the EMO-1 and HT-1 surveys were completed in June and are available in the ASHI PT Lab Center for laboratories that submitted results by the survey deadline.

2023 AC-1 Report

Data from the AC-1 survey is currently being reviewed. Laboratories that submitted AC-1 results will be notified by email once the AC-1 reports are finalized.

2023 VXM-1

Labs that wish to participate in the optional, educational virtual crossmatch (VXM-1) challenge will be able to do so again in 2023. More information will be provided to AC-1 subscribers in the next few weeks concerning how to participate.
