Special News

Get ready for MRLC 2025! The Cleveland Section of ASCE is proud to announce that we will be the hosts of the Region 3/6/7 Multi Region Leadership Conference in 2025! We will be involved with planning and preparing certain aspects of the conference and making sure it is fun and engaging for all who attend. If you're interested in being more active in the YMG or want to get some behind the scenes action for the 2025 conference, we are putting together a planning committee to help organize the event. ASCE Cleveland: Student Chapters

Case Western Reserve University The Case Western Reserve University: Steel Bridge Student Design Team is looking for an industry mentor. They would love to get design and fabrication advice from one of our Younger Members. The student design team has a lot of motivation but not much experience, so if you are interested in finding out more details, please email asceclevelandymg@gmail.com

Beer Fest Volunteering Thank you for all who attended and helped by volunteering at the Cleveland Beerfest. I hope you had a fun time trying all the different drinks there were to offer and I hope to see you again at the next Cleveland Beerfest!

Cleveland Guardians Baseball Game Game Starts: 7:10pm June 23 - Progressive Field ASCE will be hosting another baseball event! We invite you, your colleges, and even your friends and family to attend! The Cleveland Guardians will be up against the Milwaukee Brewers. Additionally! It will be Free Shirt Friday and Dollar Dog Night! Fireworks will also be released following the conclusion of the game. More info will be released the closer we get to the game day, so keep an eye out here and on the registration page.

Baseball Registration

Spring Site Tour The younger members group is happy to announce that another site tour is in the works! We are hoping to host around the month of May. More information will be released as the event is finalized. Stay tuned!

Conferences

The SEI Structures Congress 2023 The Congress hosted by SEI is taking place in New Orleans, Louisiana on May 3rd through May 6th. There will be many opportunities to attend technical lectures and network with other Engineers in our industry. The deadline to register for early bird prices is January 25th 2023. Advanced Registration continues at a higher price until April 5th and On-Site registration goes until the start of the conference. The New Orleans Jazz Fest is also taking place April 28th through May 7th so book your flights and hotel rooms early for the best rates. Additionally there are scholarships for students and young professionals to assist in attending the conference. The deadline to apply is January 6th! For anyone interested in attending the conference, please reach out and we will coordinate with all of the local attendees from Cleveland.

ASCE-ACE "Cluster" ASCE is partnering with the ACE (Architecture, Construction, Engineering) Mentor Program to increase the number of civil engineer volunteers for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year, as well as creating a "Cluster" of ASCE members to support the ACE Mentor Program of Cleveland.
