Nominate an outstanding volunteer physician for COPIC's Humanitarian Award

The COPIC Humanitarian Award is presented annually to honor a physician for volunteer medical services and contributions to their community. Once again this award presentation will take place at the CMS Annual Meeting -- this year in Vail, Sept. 22-23 -- during the President's Gala.

COPIC specifically looks to recognize those individuals who unassumingly volunteer outside the spectrum of their day-to-day lives. The recipient of the award designates a $10,000 donation from COPIC to be provided to a health care-related 501(c)(3) organization within their respective state. If you know a worthy candidate, please nominate him or her for this award. Find more information here. Nominations close Aug. 15.

Save the date for White Coat Wisdom - Oct. 8

The Medical Student Component (MSC) is planning White Coat Wisdom - an event geared toward medical students through which physicians share information relevant to life and practice but not necessarily covered in medical school. We need active physicians to attend, too, especially those interested in mentoring the next generation of physicians. The event will be held at COPIC/CMS headquarters in the Lowry area of Denver. Save the date - Oct. 8, 2023 - and watch for more information coming soon.
