Join your medical society in Vail for the 2023 CMS Annual Meeting, Sept. 22-23

The CMS Annual Meeting is coming up quickly! Make plans to join us in Vail Sept. 22-23. Highlights:

Friday - evening welcome reception and movie screening
Saturday - relevant programming, free childcare, the COMPAC lunch, a research poster competition and the President's Gala
Sunday - free time in Vail and the fall foliage

Our host hotel, the Lodge at Vail in the heart of Vail Village, is nearly booked but there may be double/double rooms and studios available. Call the reservations department as soon as possible at 855-953-0197; select #1 then #4. Fundraising challenge open through Oct. 6!

Any individual over the age of 18 can support advocacy for physicians by donating to the nonpartisan Colorado Medical Political Action Committee (COMPAC) or the Small Donor Committee (SDC). Visit cms.org/contribute to donate before Oct. 6 and you will automatically be entered into two raffles for a chance to win an iPad or dinner at Ocean Prime. Questions? COMPAC Board of Directors seeks new members

The nomination period for new COMPAC Board members is now open. Complete the Google form and upload a CV to apply. COMPAC Board dues are $312 per year and Board members are expected to assist in fundraising, candidate interviews and building relationships with legislators. The Board is key to CMS's advocacy work. Support for those affected by Maui wildfires

Following the devastating wildfires on Maui and Hawaiʻi Island and an outpouring of the desire to help, the Hawaii Medical Association (HMA) has published a Maui Support page that is being regularly updated as news, additional resources and donation opportunities become available. Please consider supporting HMA as they mobilize volunteers and supplies. The road to recovery will be long.
