ASA of TN in partnership with the Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology (TCAT), the State Department of Labor and Workforce and other state government agencies had another great signing day event for the HVAC Apprenticeship Programs at the TCAT Nashville Campus. This exciting development follows the Electrical Apprenticeship Program which began in September. With this model now in operation, ASA of TN, working with TCAT and state government officials will move together in efforts to ensure funding from state government resources. We are pleased to have the commitment of state officials to make every effort to grow the electrical and HVAC programs statewide while we continue to work toward apprenticeship opportunities in more of our construction trades. Fully funded state-wide apprenticeship programs will help grow our skilled labor force in Tennessee to meet the demands of our booming economy and construction industry. Growing the apprenticeship program in Tennessee has the potential of saving businesses thousands of dollars in training costs which could be redirected to other areas such as expanding production, growing jobs and increasing salaries and benefits for employees.
