Operator Portal Cabin Connectivity Assurance Metrics

Welcome back to Jump Seat. In the dynamic world of aviation, the efficient and secure management of aircraft data is important to you. Globally, connectivity customers like you seek innovative solutions that ensure safety, reliability, and performance for your aircraft. In this spirit of progress, we are happy to introduce new features that help you monitor and manage your fleet.

Fleet Status and Connectivity Assurance Tools for SBB, JX/GX and LuxStream

Within Operator Portal’s dynamic Fleet Status feature, you can monitor network availability and aircraft connectivity status in real time. You can get detailed notifications on planned and unplanned connectivity outages that may impact current or future flights. This gives you insights and tools needed to make informed decisions and better serve your passengers.

Connectivity Assurance Tools manage real-time and historical data for all services to determine if the connectivity service is working as expected, regardless of whether the aircraft is on the ground or in flight.

If you have JX/GX and LUX, you can see all four graphs below. For SBB, only Average Throughput is available.

Satcom Terminal: Provides online or offline terminal status

Average Throughput: Represents the volume of data transferred during a period as network speed

Signal Quality: Represents the connection quality between the aircraft terminal and the satellite

Latency: How much time it takes a packet to travel from the satcom terminal to the internet

Under Historical Assurance Data, users can view past timeframes or legs to determine connectivity status.

  • 1 hour
  • 6 hours
  • 24 hours
  • Custom Date
  • Leg

Leg Selector and Map Slider

With the ability to select previous legs, the historical view of the Connectivity Assurance Tools gives you the flexibility to go back in time and start any troubleshooting process for any connectivity issues that you may have had on a previous flight.

Fleet Intelligence | Virus Detection and Monthly Cyber Reports

The Fleet Intelligence cyber reports provide real-time information on potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities, allowing you to take immediate action to safeguard sensitive data. The report will include:

  • Firewall usage activities
  • Threat Analysis with potential cyber threats tags and
  • Risk Severity, which groups connectivity usage based on their potential risk level.

Additional enhancements will provide email notifications as soon as we detect a traffic threat from the aircraft and a Monthly Report containing a summary of cyber security activities and actions.
