APS Schools Accreditation Approved

All 55 APS elementary and middle schools reviewed by the Georgia Accreditation Commission (GAC) were approved for Accreditation with Quality! The accreditation process involved extensive evaluation and on-site visits to observe procedures, policies, and teaching practices. This ensures adherence to federal and state regulations. It further opens doors for our students to federal loans, scholarships, postsecondary education and military programs requiring attendance at an accredited institution. GAC was impressed by many aspects, especially:

• Uniformity in expectations across the district

• Retaining individuality of each school's culture and community

The district has seen significant growth since our last accreditation process. Georgia Accreditation Commission commended the district, leaders, and teachers for their dedication to student success.
