S.O.S program available for 7th and 10th graders

At the heart of our commitment lies a deep concern for the well-being of our students, and it is with great care that we introduce the Signs of Suicide (SOS) program. This initiative is not just about education; it's about fostering a culture of understanding and compassion.

This fall, we are piloting the SOS program for our 7th and 10th graders, addressing the critical topic of mental health. We aim to empower our students with knowledge and encourage them to seek help, whether for themselves or a friend in need.

Parents and guardians of 7th and 10th graders, you should have received a letter from your school with detailed information about the program. Your partnership in this journey is invaluable, and we respect your choice in the matter. If you wish to opt your student out of participating, we kindly remind you to provide written notification by September 15, 2023. Instructions for opting out can be found in the letter from your school.

We urge you to visit http://www.mindwise.org/parents, where you'll find essential information about recognizing the warning signs of youth suicide, valuable resources, and insights into the core messages our students will glean from the SOS program.
