WRAC BOARD UPDATE

Dear Member-Owners,

We’re making significant progress with our plan to build a six court, dedicated indoor pickleball facility!

We have signed a contract with our architect (Complete Design, Inc.), and we will have building plans and renderings to share with you soon.
We have signed a contract with our general contractor (Cascade Central Construction), and we have placed an order with the metal building manufacturer.
We have begun the permitting process with the City of Wenatchee.
We are working with our lender (Peoples Bank) on a competitive financing package.

We hope to begin construction sometime this summer which means we could be playing pickleball in the area’s first dedicated indoor facility next winter! Stay tuned for more updates and look for a visual rendering of our plans in the lobby area soon.

With the addition of a dedicated pickleball facility, the WRAC will continue to grow membership and revenues, which is good for every WRAC member, whether you play pickleball or not. Tennis players have shared court time with pickleball and helped meet the growing demand for this exciting new sport. With a dedicated pickleball facility, tennis players will have significantly more court time and the opportunity to grow their sport too.

All members benefit when our numbers grow. When fixed costs are spread over a greater number of members, dues increases are moderated and future growth opportunities are enhanced. The WRAC is successful because of the synergy of our offerings - where no single activity would be commercially viable, the sum of the parts makes our club a business success.

Our vision “WRAC 2025 and Beyond” includes a larger membership, greater revenues, and a plan for future development. We’re just getting started transitioning onto our 11 acres west of the indoor facility. This dedicated indoor pickleball building is a big first step. We have plans for an aquatic facility, outdoor courts, and amenities to be determined. Help us dream! We want to hear from you and welcome your input!

We have been fortunate to have had Dean as a Fitness / Yoga Instructor and Trainer since 2008. As he transitions into a well deserved retirement mode, we hope you will join us in congratulating him and wishing him well!
