Welcome Spring! April is full of fun here at OPL. We have a whole bunch of fun programs for all ages this month, as well as new materials for you to check out. Don't forget that the Oakland Public Library's Digital Library is open 24/7 and all of it is completely free with your library card. Not sure what we have available? Check our website or stop by the library - we would be happy to show you.

Perfect for hobbyists or people who love to hunt for buried treasure, OPL's metal detector is a great item to check out for a week or two and have some fun with. Also, when it comes to searching for a lost metal item in the vast expanses of your house or yard only a metal detector will do!

Ms. Barbara will offer Preschool Story Time on the following Tuesdays in April: April 2nd, April 16th, and April 30th at 11:00 am. Oakland children, ages 2 to 5, will be singing along to favorite songs and listening to stories. The Story Time will be held in the Library’s Story Tower. Registration is not required.
Tots Library Club, a program designed for the youngest library users, birth to 2-yrs.-old, and their caregivers, will be held on Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:00 am. Toys (yours or ours) will be available for a brief meet-and-greet from 10:30 to 10:45 am. A short segment of nursery rhymes, fingerplays, and songs will follow. The program will be held in the Library’s Story Tower. Registration is not required.
Terrific Two’s & Three’s! is a story time for two to three-yr.-olds, and their caregivers. Join us on the following Fridays in April: April 5th, April 19th, and April 26th at 11:00 am for stories, songs, and fingerplays. The program will be held in the Library’s Story Tower. Registration is not required.

Ms. Christina and her wonderful “Jiggly Wiggly” music program will be in the Oakland Public Library on Friday, April 12th and Friday, May 3rd from 11:00 to 11:45 am. The program will be held downstairs in the Library’s Meeting Room. Oakland children, ages 2 & up, and their caregivers, will enjoy music and movement activities. Registration is required for EACH session. Registration is now being taken for the April 12th session, and begins Wednesday, April 17th for the May 3rd session.
