Jessica,

Last week, the New York City Council introduced legislation to create Universal Child Care in NYC, which would make sure family child care providers earn wages and benefits on par with public school teachers! Our team joined the rally to support this legislation.

In the coming weeks and months, we will continue to take action in a number of ways. While the NYC Council plans for next year's budget, All Our Kin will be testifying to voice the need for investment in family child care! We invite you to join us in testifying on March 13 & 15 — either in person, online or via written testimony.

If interested, please contact our New York Policy Director Steven at steven@allourkin.org.

Take Action

Family child care advocates across Connecticut made waves with a successful morning of action, bringing attention to the country's broken child care system!

Inspired by Connecticut’s Morning Without Child Care, national organizations are planning a day of action that will take place in May. New York educators, this is an opportunity for you to call on your legislators to invest in affordable access to care and better pay for providers.

Look out for details about New York's Day of Action in the coming newsletters and check out some highlights from Morning Without Child Care here!
