It’s almost election time in NYC! Primary elections for the NYC Council are right around the corner, with early voting beginning on June 17 and Election Day on June 27. Why is this important? It’s a critical opportunity for us to make sure that family child care remains at the top of the agenda for our City Council candidates.

As educators, your voices matter, and this is an excellent chance to make them heard loud and clear. If you haven’t already, take a moment to register or check your voter registration status to make any necessary updates. Let’s ensure that our community’s needs and priorities are well-represented by electing officials that understand the importance of family child care.

Get ready to exercise your right to vote starting on June 17! For more information on the upcoming elections, visit

New York Works For Children Survey

New York Works For Children has just released a comprehensive compensation and benefits survey for early childhood educators. This survey will establish baseline data, inform future investments in the field, and results will be summarized in a report released at the end of the year. Your specific responses will remain completely anonymous.

Take the survey today – it takes less than 10 minutes, and your participation could make a significant impact! The first 500 respondents will also receive a special gift.
