Dear Friends and Bay Ridge Community Leaders,
I am writing with a special request.
Would you consider buying tickets/donating to the Red-Carpet Gala to be held at the Bay Ridge Center to support this new state of the art senior center in my community?
If you know me, you will know that the needs of the aging community have been the special mission of my life. As a newly retired person, I finally have the time and energy to devote to the needs of the aging in my very own home community of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. It is where I live and hope to age gracefully.
In the last several years I have worked with a task group to make Bay Ridge an Age Friendly Community. This work has culminated in the opening of our new Bay Ridge Center located at 15 Bay Ridge Avenue, Brooklyn, New York. It is an awesome space with a dance studio, an exercise and wellness center, a music room, and the Joanne Seminara Art room, named in honor of my cherished law partner, friend, and sister, the late Joanne Seminara.
The staff of the Center, under the leadership of Executive Director Todd Fliedner, is serving delicious meals to over 100 seniors each day at the site along with interesting and educational programs. In order to keep these dynamic programs going, we need to continually find financial support and funding. Thus, the upcoming Red-Carpet Gala on April 20 is part of this effort. I am asking you to join other community leaders who have generously supported the Center. Please consider donating or buying tickets to this wonderful event so that we can keep the Center thriving.

The event will be held right at the new Center on April 20 from 5-8 pm. This fun evening will include:
* Signature cocktails compliments of CEBU Bar and Bistro mixed by my own family volunteer bartenders, Jade and James Grimaldi
* Delicious appetizers
* Live Jazz combo
* Professional photo portraits for special donors
* Celebration cake by Omonia Cafe
* Wine and prosecco toast by Peppino's Wines
