Join Charlly and other Massage therapists in the area on Friday November 9th from 8:30am-10:30am at the Loveland Starbucks (4910 Thompson Pkwy, Johnstown).  Look for the AMTA-CO table top sign.  See you all there!

Delegates Need Your Help:

Every year our Delegates look for position statement ideas from the general membership to present to the next year AOD (Assembly of Delegates) at the National Convention, and your input would be greatly appreciated.

Position statements are an expression of factual statements that AMTA members can release to the public and to researchers.  AMTA Position Statements are posted on the National AMTA website under Research  AMTA Position Statements.  They are scientific and medical research that supports the efficacy of massage therapy and shows the health benefits of massage for various conditions.  Currently there are 16 Positions Statements that AMTA has accepted.  Some examples include:
* Massage therapy can improve sleep.
* Massage therapy can reduce symptoms of depression.
* Massage therapy for anxiety.
* Massage therapy can relieve stress.

Can you suggest/think of a statement expressing a health benefit about massage therapy?  What would you like to see the AMTA express about massage therapy?

We would be thrilled to receive your ideas, please send your thoughts to us at delegates@co.amtamassage.org

Thank you.

Andrew Kissick, Delegate
