Student Safety at AMS
As we get started in our last trimester of the school year, it is helpful to have a friendly reminder about AMS expectations of parents and driving safety in and around school.

Please remember:
*Parking is only permitted in the parking structure.    Please do not park in the neighborhood.
*Never drop off students in the neighborhood.  If you want to drop off your students from your car, you must use carpool!
*If you are meeting your students after school at the gym, please park in the parking structure and cross only at the crosswalk.
*There are no left turns permitted from the blacktop onto 15th Street.  That is MBPD's rule!
*There has been a noticeable uptick in parents getting out of their vehicles at carpool.  Carpool is designed to be an efficient as possible drop off and drivers who are in and out of cars can slow down the whole carpool.
*If you are driving carpool, please try and pull up as close to possible to the car in front of you.  Large gaps of space between cars make it harder to get as many cars in off 15th Street, particularly in the morning.

Our student's safety is our priority.  Please do your part to contribute to the safety of our community.  Getting somewhere fast is never prioritized over getting everyone here to AMS safely.
