Dear AME Community,

Summer is in the air! And so is…a new iteration of COVID. If you are planning on getting a COVID booster, see our new BOOST studies below on vaccine outcomes - a positive vaccination mindset predicts a better outcome 6 months later! And the more symptoms you have the better! Here at the AME Center, we can’t wait to get our next boosters!

Also in this edition, read more about deep rest, and its impact on our minds and bodies. Check out upcoming retreats and workshops, study participation opportunities, and the newly released Stress Puzzle podcast! Wishing you a relaxing and restorative rest of your summer as we transition to the new beginnings of fall.

Warmly,

COVID Vaccines: Is Feeling Sick a Good Sign?

COVID-19 Vaccinations are back! The CDC recommends that people get the updated vaccination coming out soon. Many avoid these vaccinations due to concerns about efficacy or side effects. Our BOOST study has uncovered significant findings about vaccinations, including who benefits most, in terms of immune response, and who does not. For instance, age is less of a factor with the highly effective Moderna vaccination, but BMI still plays an important role.

COVID Vaccines: Do Age and Weight Matter?

Curious about COVID vaccine side effects and their long-term impact? Our recent study explores how side effects might be linked to a stronger, long-lasting antibody response. We followed participants over time and discovered that those who experienced side effects like fatigue or fever after vaccination often developed more robust immunity. This research helps us understand the potential benefits behind those temporary discomforts and highlights the importance of getting vaccinated to stay protected.

COVID Vaccines: Bolster your Positive Mindset!

How do your thoughts about vaccines affect your body's response? Our latest study dives into how vaccine-related mindsets—whether you’re optimistic or anxious—can influence your antibody levels, side effects, and even your mood after getting vaccinated. We found that people with a positive mindset often had a stronger immune response and fewer side effects. This research shows the power of the mind-body connection and suggests that how you feel about the vaccine could play a bigger role in your overall experience than you might think!
