NEW: ONLINE CHORISTER RESOURCES
The first score markups, rehearsal tracks, and other important information for the AMC Christmas concert "Here We Come A-Caroling" are now on the AMC website. Scores in PDF and tracks in MP3 are download-ready for your tablet, or just view and listen online.
Scott has marked up the scores and recorded individual voice rehearsal tracks for your preparation at home before coming to ensemble rehearsal.
To reach them, simply click the "Chorister News and Info" link in the footer of any web page, or Chorister News under the "About AMC" dropdown menu in the header.
For 2022-23 you no longer have to log in, just use the password "Chorister". Look for regular updates throughout the season.
Also on the Chorister News page are a roster of this season's AMC singers and music staff and a link to the season calendar in PDF.
REHEARSALS
Rehearsals for AMC's 2022-2023 season start on Monday, September 12 at our regular place and time, Ascension Lutheran Church, 7100 North Mockingbird Lane, Paradise Valley, Mondays from 7:00 to 9:30 PM. Enter through the north door, just off the parking lot. You can download a season calendar here in PDF with all the rehearsal and concert dates through May 2023.
MANDATORY SINGING FOR SCOTT
Scott wants to meet all returning choristers for a short vocal placement session before the season. He'll be at Orangewood Presbyterian Church, 7321 North 10th Street, Phoenix on Saturdays, September 3 and 10 between noon and 5 PM. THE LOCATION HAS CHANGED DUE TO SATURDAY CONFLICTS AT ASCENSION LUTHERAN.
Please use the online reservation calendar to make an appointment so he can plan the days. Annual re-auditions have been required in the AMC by-laws for some time, and are essential to keep up the level of musicianship we're seeking to maintain. This meeting is about technique, not performance, so you do not have to prepare a piece as you would for an audition.
