AKF's Critical Space sector is our answer to the data center industry’s focus on performance, reliability, and optimized sustainability. With over 30 years of experience designing, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting critical systems for our clients, we also provide special presentations and intensive training for clients’ operating, commissioning, and risk-assessment personnel to ensure equipment and systems are operating properly.

We had a great time advancing the mission critical conversation at last week’s 7x24 Exchange International Spring Conference in Orlando. It was wonderful to share this time with some of our new friends and colleagues from WSP and kW Mission Critical Engineering, a fellow member firm of WSP. We are appreciative of the opportunities the conference afforded us to connect and share ideas!

We celebrated International Data Center Day on March 20 by participating in events organized by 7x24 Exchange Metro New York Chapter at local schools. We were excited to play a part in bringing data center awareness and education to high school students! Thank you to our very own Brady Smith who presented at Fontbonne Hall in Brooklyn and to Diana Bilous and Kevin Powell who presented at Hoboken High School.

Presentations addressed what data centers are, how they operate, and what related careers are available. AKF was proud to participate in this educational day to inspire tomorrow's industry leaders!

Computational Fluid Dynamics

AKF employs an advanced computer simulation tool, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to predict the movement, pressure, heat transfer, and overall behavior of fluids with a high level of accuracy. AKF is recognized as an expert in CFD modeling of HVAC systems, with experience spanning over 20 years. We use top-of-the-line CFD software for the highest possible accuracy and have created some of the largest and most complicated CFD models in the software, as confirmed by the developer. Furthermore, we have partnered with the software developer Future Facilities on several projects, and subsequently are the most knowledgeable firm with the software. AKF boasts 20 years of experience CFD modeling Critical Space environments!

We are proud to announce that we are now a Certified Commissioning Firm through the Building Commissioning Certification Board! This certification attests that AKF adheres to commissioning best practices, provides the highest quality service to clients, and that we are committed to the advancement of the commissioning industry! AKF has experience and expertise providing commissioning for all sectors and industries, including Critical Space.
