While drones can be used for both recreational and business applications, People’s Electric Cooperative (PEC), headquartered in Ada, Oklahoma, is taking drone technology to a new level, harnessing the constantly evolving power of drones for both efficiency and safety. Innovative use of technology enables PEC to not only reduce outage times, but also minimize the potential threat of electrical hazards.

SENATOR MULLIN VISITS ADA

On March 28th, Senator Markwayne Mullin visited Ada to update residents on his legislative priorities and field questions on various issues. During his visit, he met with leaders from People’s Electric Cooperative, Mercy Hospital Ada, Mead Lumber, Chickasaw Nation, and East Central University to discuss funding priorities and community contributions. Notably, Mercy Hospital Ada expressed gratitude for Senator Mullin's role in securing $10 million in project funding for the Community Cancer Center in the FY2024 spending package. Additionally, Senator Mullin engaged with CLEET staff to discuss law enforcement education, and funding challenges.

BR+E REPORT

Last month, Daniel Castaneda and Jim Lawson from Pontotoc Technology Center conducted their yearly BR+E visits with local manufacturers in Ada. These visits help them understand the local workforce, employer skill needs, and the business environment in the community.
