Medication Side Effects:

To all care providers. AICMC does not provide written side effects to your clients' medications. As a care provider, it is your responsibility to know what the common possible side effects of the medication you are giving. The pharmacy dispenses drug literature with each of the medications that they dispense. Save those drug literatures for future reference. Everything you need to know is in that drug literature. Please review them when you have free time. Increasing your knowledge about the drug you are giving will equip you to be a better caregiver. If you are already doing this, a big hurray to all of you. If CTA visits and asks you about side effects, the surveyor doesn't expect that you know ALL of the side effects. You simply inform the surveyor that you have the drug literature and you can reference it when needed. That should take care of this issue.
