Cherry Hill hosts Hellenic History Tournament, Anna Rezan and her movie “My People”

AHEPA Camden Chapter 69 and Daughters of Penelope Nike Chapter 230 of Cherry Hill, New Jersey hosted the Hellenic History Tournament for high school students of the Greater Philadelphia area.

The event's special guest was actress and director Anna Rezan, who spoke to students and showed her film "My People," which is a story of the Greek Jews during the Holocaust, the Axis occupation, the Greek resistance and the role of the Greek Orthodox clergy throughout it all. The film was incredibly moving and sparked meaningful conversation during the question and answer period that followed.

Remarks were given by AHEPA Past Supreme President George Horiates on the work AHEPA does alongside many Jewish American organizations, and attendees were moved to tears as holocaust survivor Moshe Matsa, a Greek Jew, spoke about how Ms. Rezan's film affected him.
