Young Achiever 

This category celebrates a graduating female student in higher ed. with a concentration in construction management. The recipient of this category will receive a $500 scholarship courtesy of the AGC MA BWiC Advisory committee!

While the holiday season can be a joyful time, it also can bring additional stress and depression into our already hectic lives.  In its continued support of mental health in the construction industry, the AGC Human Resources Committee has compiled a list of resources that can help those that may be struggling during this time of year. If you are struggling in any way, please seek help. You are not alone.

The 2022 Young Contractors Professional Institute begins January 27th. There are twelve virtual seminars from January to September. Each seminar is 2:00 - 5:00pm followed by informal networking.

Fitchburg State University will be holding a career fair on Tuesday, February 22nd from 1:00pm-4:00pm at Fitchburg State Hammond Hall Campus Center. They welcome any company looking to hire for full-time, part-time, or internship positions for students in Fitchburg State's Engineering Technology program. The event will be open to all majors and students/alumni, but the focus of the event is Engineering Technology. If you would like to reserve your spot, you can register here.

AGC MA and the Massachusetts Construction Advancement Program (MCAP) give out scholarship awards each year to deserving individuals who are enrolled in a construction or civil engineering degree program.

The scholarship application process is now open for 2022. The deadline to submit applications is June 30. Please contact Kara Cady with any questions.

Safety trainings are back! The OSHA 30 Hour Training was conducted last week at AGC MA with Chris Ziegler and various guest trainers. Thank you to all the trainers who instructed throughout the four day program. Congratulations to all the attendees for completely the training. We enjoyed seeing participants from Bond, Columbia, Consigli Construction, Dimeo Construction Company, F.W. Madigan Company. J.L. Marshall & Sons, TG Gallagher, W.T. Rich Company and Walsh Brothers.
