Our Next All-Societies Platform will be Taking Place on October 29th!

We are thrilled to announce that the next All-Societies Platform is happening on October 29th! Author and Journalist Sam Pizzigati, who wrote about Felix Adler’s work in The Rich Don’t Always Win, will discuss how inequality is wreaking havoc across the globe and what we can do to address it.

Support the Ethical Culture Society of Bergen County’s Postcard Writing Campaign to Fight Voter Suppression

Two weeks ago, sixteen volunteers (members) from the Ethical Culture of Society of Bergen County wrote postcards to voters in Ohio encouraging them to make their voice heard ahead of a proposed state-wide amendment on reproductive rights on November 7th. They will continue to show how mighty the pen can be by writing to Virginia voters. Ruchira Gupta has worked tirelessly as an advocate to eradicate this problem from our world and will join the New York Society for Ethical Culture to share her story and inspire everyone who has ever devoted their life to improving the lives of people.

Sustainability Sunday: Talking Trash

Host: Ethical Culture Society of Bergen County

Date: Sunday, October 8th 

Time: 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM ET

Can talking trash be good for the environment? Join the Ethical Culture of Society of Bergen County to find out how! Special guests Eric Ascalon from TerraCycle and Jennifer Shukaitis from the Rutgers University Cooperative Extension Food Waste Team will share how you can do your part in addressing the ongoing national waste crisis.

The Ethical Humanist Philosophy of Richard Kiniry

Host: Northern Virginia Ethical Society 

Date: Tuesday, October 3rd and 10th

A Long-time Leader of the Philadelphia Ethical Society, Richard Kiniry had his own unique views when it came to Ethical Humanism which he compiled into an essay titled "Ethical Humanism as a Religious Approach". For the final two sessions of a three-part course, Northern Virginia Ethical Society Leader Randy Best will lead a discussion. What the LGBTQIA+ Community Still Needs in Bergen County

Marginalized and silenced by society at large and demonized by bigoted politicians, the LGBTQIA+ community has been severely mistreated in this country and the work to rectify this is far from over.


Executive Director of the Bergen County LGBTQ+ Alliance Anthony Torres will be joining the Ethical Culture of Society of Bergen County to share what still needs to be done and what groups like our Societies can do to support this community.
