The AERA Technical Committee offers the following information regarding head bolt usage caution for Hino P11C engines. When installing this cylinder head, the torque procedure is unique. The head torque sequence needs to be followed to ensure proper clamp load is applied to the head gasket. Failure to follow the procedure could lead to premature head gasket failure.

Cylinder Head Gasket Selection on Isuzu 5.2L Diesel Engines

The AERA Technical Committee offers the following information regarding cylinder head gasket selection on 2005-2018 Isuzu 5.2L 4HK1 diesel engines. Selecting and using the wrong head gasket on this engine could cause engine damage. 


Isuzu offers three different thickness head gaskets for this four-cylinder diesel engine. The proper gasket to use depends on the amount of piston protrusion present. When measuring piston protrusion, make sure that you measure each of the four-cylinder locations. The gasket to use is based on the highest value recorded.

Seventh generation Mustang pushes more ICE power and aero-attributes than prior versions

The exterior visuals still emphasize a long hood and a short deck, but the V-8 powered 2024 Mustang GT’s mammoth air intakes are a telltale that things have powerfully changed. “When you open the hood and see the dual air induction system on this fourth-generation naturally aspirated Coyote V-8 engine, there will be no mistake that you are looking at the seventh-generation Mustang,” said Eddie Khan, the Mustang’s vehicle engineering manager. The car’s dual throttle body and air-induction system is a segment-first application. With a trend continuing to purchase vehicles with internal combustion engines continuing, Ford thought it appropriate to continue enhancing their engines.
