John Gepp is a current SFIC insured and the owner and creator of Rip-CurrentRow. He has been kind enough to share his story with us!
John was a Captain and training officer for the Belmar Beach Patrol in N.J for 30 years. He moved to Florida in 2010 where he opened a small fitness studio. John wanted to separate himself from all the other trainers that he saw doing the same types of circuit training. He had rowed surf dory boats for over 30 years and was a 12 time United States Lifesaving Association National Age Group Champion and used the concept 2 rower with his clients.
John came up with his rowing program because he wanted to train in a class setting and wanted to be able to have all age groups train together. John’s goal is to develop rowing programs in fitness centers and gyms.
