Today is a very special day in my country. Every February 24th is celebrated the Paraguayan women's day. I always like to celebrate this day with my mom, my sister and my friends whom I love and admire very much. This year I would like to share this affection and admiration with you on this special day. This date is commemorated in honor of all the women who during and after one of the most devastating wars that my country has suffered, dedicated themselves body and
soul to save the Paraguayan nation.

Through my time here in the United States, and also through my classes at the university I have been able to realize that we have this great part of history in common: Women have always been the protagonists of great moments! Strong, brave, fighters, courageous, and willing to do our best to face any challenge. Since the meeting held in November, I have realized that I must add another great value to my list: Society. I am very grateful that I have been welcomed from the very
beginning with open arms and that you have been shown a great sense of belonging and generosity.

I am deeply thankful for the opportunity I am experiencing and for the learning process thanks to this Society of Women Educators. I feel committed to continue cultivating the positive values that I am assimilating through this cultural exchange, and I am very happy that women like you are my role model and my great example to promote education and the best values in life.

Thank you for letting me share these words with you and Happy Women's Day!

Sincerely,
Brenda Rojas

Educational Services Committee Approves Awards!
Congratulations to Linda Graves of Delta Mu chapter and Pamela Todd of Alpha Iota chapter!! They were both approved for Individual/Classroom/Community Project Fund Awards by the ADSOEF Board in February.

Do you know what a sensory room is and how beneficial it is to students? Linda Graves’ colleagues started one this year at Groveport Elementary School using money out of their own pockets. Look for photos and information in an upcoming newsletter about how they used their $500.00 grant, and the impact it is having on their students!

Have you heard of an interactive sound wall? Do you know how little ones will have fun learning phonics?  Find out in a future newsletter how Pamela Todd’s colleague used her $500.00 to create a sound wall, and the impact it’s having on improving her students’ reading skills!

Thank you to our contributors who make these awards possible!

Name the ADSOEF Newsletter Contest
Rules and Guidelines

In April of 2017, Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation was formed by you, the members of Ohio State Organization.   ADSOEF has a logo, website, brochures, and now its own newsletter.  The logo is a wonderful visual identity for the Foundation, but the newsletter needs a name.  We are asking current members to put on your thinking caps and submit your suggestion for a name for the newsletter. The name should be appealing, recognizable and help promote the Foundation.  The winner of this contest will receive public recognition, bragging rights, registration and lunch on Saturday for one at the June OSO Leadership Conference, and recognition at the 2022 ADSOEF Annual Meeting on June 11.

Note From Kent State University
Kent State University sent the following note in appreciation for the Foundation’s support of Gunel Alasgarova, our A. M. Boyd Overseas fellowship recipient.

“My office received the scholarship check today for Gunel Alasgarova. I wanted to thank you and the organization personally for the included note. The words were simple, yet beautiful, and incredibly touching. I shared with our “One Stop for Student Services” office so that the message would be amplified. Thank you. This brightened many of our day.
