el paso county commissioners meeting.

Citizens Project Executive Director Mike Williams and Shayana Dabney address the El Paso County Commissioner Meeting regarding the Pikes Peak Promise Letter.

On 1-24-2024 local School Board CSSD11, made the public aware of an effort to collectively lobby at the State Capital. This was initiated by Commissioner Gietner, representing herself and P3, aka Pikes Peak Promise.

District 11 School Board President went on to ask School Board members their thoughts on signing on collectively and individually. After the CSSD11 meeting, President Melpakam, released the letter he received based on the request of nonprofit leaders and to provide transparency with the public.

In reviewing the letter, there are many statements and priorities that if moved forward, would be hurtful to members of the El Paso County community.
