Family Emergency Assistance helped 381 households with funds for rent, utilities, medical and other necessary expenses in 2019. This assistance provided $231,000 to 1192 individuals.
Many of these families include young children, senior citizens, disabled persons, and single parents. These wage-earners often need to reduce their work hours in order to support family members with health issues. Requests for family assistance have decreased over the past few years as a result of increased fears of deportation.
ACCA has never been and is not today involved in immigration enforcement activities. Our sole mission is to provide basic human services to those in need.
