Food Pantry Inventory has reached a Critical Low
Inventory at the food pantry is very low, and we especially need crackers, peanut butter, jelly, cookies, and canned corn.
Demand for food remains very high. In December and January, we delivered food to more than 1100 individuals.
Find out more about our Lenten Food Drive (40 items in 40 days)!. Please consider dropping off food at the pantry on Tuesday-Friday afternoons between 1 and 4 p.m. or at many local churches. Be sure to deliver your donations to a volunteer, please don't leave food unattended. Cash donations are always welcome, and used to purchase fresh foods like meat, produce, and dairy items for our clients.
Mark your calendars for Stuff the Bus on Saturday, March 16 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the the Giant at 7137 Columbia Pike in Annandale. Please consider picking up a few extra items for the food pantry and dropping them off at the bus that will be parked outside the Giant. See our complete list of needed items.

Thank you
The National Rebuilding Day will be Saturday, April 27 and ACCA expects to sponsor two home repair projects this year. We welcome participation by churches and individuals and would also appreciate donations toward ACCA’s sponsorship cost. Please contact Ken or Camille Mittelholtz at kcmittelholtz@gmail.com.
Marie Monsen is stepping down as chair of the Housing and Rebuilding Together Committee after more than 34 years. We appreciate her many years of leadership and service and look forward to her continuing advice. Since 1990, ACCA volunteers have given over 3900 hours of service and rehabilitated 130 houses and group homes in our community. We would not have had such success without the dedicated leadership of Marie and we join with these grateful homeowners in appreciating her exemplary service. Thank you, Marie!

Neighbor to Neighbor
On December 9, Afghan families, volunteers, and the Neighbor to Neighbor(N2N) Planning Team gathered at Peace Lutheran to give Nadia Fitzcharles a proper send-off as she leaves this area to start a new chapter in Atlanta. Everyone contributed delicious food and for dessert, we had a special “best wishes” cake. One of the Afghan women gave a tribute to Nadia in English, and we presented her with a photo album of many of our events and a plaque in recognition of her many contributions to N2N.
On January 27, we presented a workshop on U.S. tax preparation for 9 Afghan families. Thank you to Beth Moffett, a retired CPA, who attends Ravensworth Baptist for the great presentation.
