The ABSA International Conference will be held at the end of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. The Balloon Fiesta will be held on October 7-15, immediately preceding the ABSA Conference (October 13-18). For the past 44 years, Albuquerque has hosted the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta - "a world-renowned attraction, hundreds of balloons will be taking flight." that attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year. We encourage you to consider making your travel arrangements sooner rather than later, particularly if you are planning to be visiting the city on any days of the Balloon Fiesta itself. ABSA International Biosafety and Biosecurity Tradeshow
The ABSA International Conference will also feature a biosafety and biosecurity tradeshow showcasing the latest in laboratory biosafety and biosecurity products and services. There will be approximately 80 exhibitors in the ABSA Exhibit Hall. ABSA will be offering exhibit only passes for those who are not attending the scientific program but are interested in seeing the latest in products and services in the ABSA Exhibit Hall. Hotel Information
ABSA International has a block of rooms at the Embassy Suites, Hyatt Regency Albuquerque, the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Albuquerque, and the historic Hotel Andaluz. None of these hotels make sales calls to book rooms. Members have reported booking through these unsolicited offers in the past and did not have a room when they attempted to check-in. If you receive one of these calls, we would welcome any information about these solicitors that you are willing to share (company names or contact information). Their actions may be illegal.
