Where did this year go? November and the holidays are upon us and we would like to wish all our members and their families a very Happy Thanksgiving and holiday season!
A reminder, we are approaching the CAQ deadline on November 30th, only if you will be submitting cases. Make sure to complete MOC enrollment or make your annual payment through your member dashboard by December 1st. Most important please review the ABPM position statement on the PMSR training programs. This is your board, your profession and your opinion is important. Review and support the proposed ABPM changes for balanced, comprehensive residency training.
Congratulations to Dr. James Blaine on winning our member survey results completion!
Lastly, continue to send in your most recent accomplishments and appointments to admin@ABPMed.org.
Thank you,

SEE THE ABPM POSITION STATEMENT REGARDING PODIATRIC MEDICINE & SURGERY RESIDENCY TRAINING!
The CPME has commissioned an ad hoc committee dedicated to updating the 320 document as related to residency training. The American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) has issued a position statement on the competencies and minimum activity volumes (MAV) of podiatric medicine and surgery residency (PMSR) training programs. The ABPM position statement calls for changes in residency training that meet the evolving needs of the public and reflect parity with ACGME standards.
The ABPM encourages the podiatric community to engage in this conversation regarding the future of residency training and this critical rewrite process. We ask the community to support the ABPM's proposed changes which promote a balanced, comprehensive residency training program.
New updates to the MOC program are coming soon and we can't wait to share this information with you! Please make sure to keep an eye out for our new MOC FAQ page AND our blog posts detailing all the MOC updates for 2020.
