NECC's Lawrence Promise Reaches Funding Milestone

The Lawrence Promise Scholarship Program at Northern Essex Community College has reached a significant milestone. The endowment has reached $1 million, which will allow countless students from Lawrence to continue their educations at Northern Essex for free.

The symposium highlights Paul Farmer's profound connection with Haiti, where lessons in global health equity originated. Haiti, as the first free Black republic, played a crucial role in proving the viability of HIV community-based care. The event featured discussions by experts and colleagues on Haiti's importance and how Farmer's vision still influences global health today.

Fidelity Scholarship Program

The Fidelity Scholars Program combines a generous annual needs-based scholarship with robust wrap-around services that support students’ persistence to degree or certificate attainment. The program is working to identify and support approximately 2,500 talented students from Fidelity’s geographical priority areas in the United States (Florida, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New Jersey, North Carolina, Texas and Washington, DC).
