Hohne has been named a new partner at Walzer Melcher LLP . Kristina has been with the firm since 2017. Since that time, her years of service have made significant contributions to the firm and its clients. Kristina is no stranger to hard work. Kristina’s diverse litigation background has been instrumental in assisting clients in complex divorce litigation where the issues are multifaceted and stakes are high.

Peter M. Walzer Farewell Tour
Peter will be attending his last AAML Annual Meeting as president of the Academy. His farewell reception will be on November 7th, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at Harry Carey’s Restaurant and Chicago Sports Museum, 33 W. Kinzie (In the Water Tower). It will be an opportunity to thank you and bid farewell. Delicious food, great music, and a great view!

Prior to this, Peter will be visiting the AAML Ohio Chapter and attending the 2019 Harold R. Kemp Annual Family Law Symposium, October 12th-14th.

We are excited to welcome Sydney “Syd” Cheek as the firm’s new Administrator. Syd is a Texan that relocated to California more than a decade ago, she has over 20 years of Legal Administration experience and achieved her CLM (Certified Legal Administrator) designation in 2005. Syd has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in Office Administration from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and has experience working for law offices in Texas, Florida and California. 

Syd is excited to be at WM and be part of a strong dedicated team. Syd enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She is an active hiker and recently hiked the Grand Canyon and spent two nights below the rim.
