A September to Remember

Registration is officially open for this year's Sole Train 5K! Don't miss out on a chance to run/walk in community with like-passioned people putting their soles on the line for the greater good. Tsotso joined Trinity in 2019 and is a PhD student in Clinical Psychology at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Since 2009, she has been helping people of diverse backgrounds and identities to cope with trauma and anxiety. She hopes to provide supportive spaces for youth and adults to improve their well-being and sense of empowerment.

Korie is an MSW student at Bridgewater State University and will be joining the Trinity @ McCormack team for the 2019-2020 academic year. She has worked with disenfranchised youth involved with DCF, as well as completed volunteer work surrounding the impact of food insecurity on students. Korie is looking forward to the opportunity to work alongside the McCormack staff this upcoming school year.

Saeide is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at William James College. She is an APA intern at the Brenner Center for Psychological Assessment and Consultation and at TBCC. At TBCC she provides individual psychotherapy to youth and youth workers. She is currently working on her doctoral project that is on the subjective experiences of transgender individuals with gender-affirming care.

Ashia is currently a senior at Tufts University studying Clinical Psychology. After she graduates at the end of this year, she plans on enrolling into graduate school in order to further her studies and increase her chances of being able to make a real difference in her community and help decrease the stigmas surrounding mental illness.

Darrick is currently a graduate student in the University of Massachusetts Boston’s Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program where he is studying experiences with racism, racial identity, and how mental health stigma impact mental health outcomes for Black Americans. Before joining TBCC, he provided clinical services to a population of college students from diverse backgrounds at UMB’s University Health Services Counseling Center.

Sophie is currently finishing her MSW degree at Boston University School of Social Work. Before starting social work school, Sophie was working as a Community Organizer and a Health Advocate. She previously interned at Friends of the Children-Boston, a long-term mentoring program for at-risk youth where she provided individual, outpatient therapy to adolescents.

A picturesque summer day set the scene for Team TEEP to take Foxboro by storm for the 29th Annual Rodman Ride for Kids! They were joined by 10 other Team Trinity riders and cheered on by TBC staff and Trinity Church Volunteers as they peddled and pushed for TEEPers, present and future. They braved the 25 mile course for their 5th year in a row alongside riders from 40 charities selected to participate from all over the state. The race finish line has been crossed for this year.
