CHURCH CAMPAIGN SERVICES

November 2016
Greetings,

Church Campaign Services is going through a season of change and growth. We are welcoming a new leader to the helm of Church Campaign Services.

Please read more about Rev. Michael Erwin below and visit our blog to hear from Michael himself about the history and future of CCS.

Church Campaign Services has new leadership!

I'm a lifelong Chicagoan who is experiencing one of the most radical conversions possible - the Chicago Cubs are now the BEST team in Major League Baseball! And, as I look at the beauty of nature's fall colors, I see change again. So, it's a perfect time for Church Campaign Services to follow the cycle of growth. We are making a change in leadership to Rev. Michael Erwin, who will be taking over CCS.

Michael has demonstrated leadership as a development officer of Habitat for Humanity and as a pastor of congregations in Kentucky and Indiana, in both the PCUSA and UCC. Michael is definitely the man for this season of CCS as our launch and initial two years saw us transition from PCUSA to an independent organization serving new denomination congregants. And now it's time to add new energy to growing the organization in order to meet the demands as churches once again begin to experience a revival of member involvement, if not increased membership. We all know that building form follows function, and new mission and ministry demands that buildings be adapted to serve those new programs.

Michael also brings a deep understanding of Stewardship as his own organization, Coaching for Generosity, has been serving multiple congregations for several years. This talent will lift the CCS process to a more meaningful level as stewardship and capital campaign planning have always supported one another.

Please congratulate Michael on his new role as leader of Church Campaign Services.
