One in Five Calgarians Need Us
More people seek charitable assistance due to increased cost of living
Currently, one in five (20%) Canadians are relying on charitable services to fulfill their essential needs. Among those seeking aid, a heartbreaking seven in ten (69%) confess that this is the first year they've found themselves in need of such support. More than half (54%) attribute this newfound reliance on charities to the ever-increasing cost of living.
Shockingly, domestic violence is the leading cause of homelessness for women.
We acknowledge that the affordability challenge has affected many within our supportive community. Thus, if individuals find themselves able to contribute, their support is particularly crucial this year. Now, more than ever, we need your support for the women
and children grappling with the surge in domestic violence in Calgary.
