Today's Scripture(s) - Acts 14:21-22
No one wants to encounter tribulation. I don't know a soul that loves pain and or suffering. Tribulation is a cause of great trouble or suffering. Tribulation is distress and misery. Tribulation is woe, grief, anguish, agony and travail. And this takes us to:
Today's Scripture(s) - Acts 14:21-22 "And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God." This is the reality of salvation Child of God. Everything does not come up smelling like roses just because we have believed on the name of Christ Jesus. There will be hard times. There will be times of tears. There will be times of unknowing from day to day. There will be family members that think you are crazy. There will be those around you that think you are weird. There will be those that berate you and speak against you and yes even judge you for your past. There will be sickness. There will be disappointments. There will be some things that will cause you to cry in the night, but in all of these things and even other tribulations not mentioned here there is within the Comforter. John 14:26 "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." One thing we must learn and put into practice is worshiping, praising and thanking God through our tribulations. This is so much easier said than done, but it is possible and it is a command. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says: "In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." Someone will say what could the benefit of giving thanks in sorrow be? Giving thanks to God in our time of sorrow will manifest to us peace. Giving thanks to God in our time of lack will manifest to us increase. Giving thanks to God in our time of sickness will manifest to us healing. Even though things may look like there is nothing happening keep on worshiping keep on praising keep on giving thanks and being grateful to the Lord. Through our worship, praise and thanks there is so much happening in the unseen that will break forth into the seen, if we will just keep on!
