BVU is a nonprofit that serves as a bridge between businesses, nonprofits, and volunteers. We serve 100 businesses and 700 nonprofits each year.
Their work with businesses and nonprofits is to CONNECT, EDUCATE, and CONSULT.
They connect board members, skills based, and direct service volunteers. They educate by training on the Role of the Board, Community Engagement, and leadership topics. And they consult to help businesses with community engagement and strengthen nonprofit governance and management.

Through the Economic Community Development Institute, The Women’s Business Center of Northern Ohio offers Digital Literacy education for encore aged participants in our Encore Digital Connect Program.
In this program they offer a 9-week course that dives into the importance of branding, online marketing, and ecommerce for participants. The instructor offers a hybrid model to ensure to meet the needs of each participant. At the end of the 9 weeks participants of this program will come out with a website, a social media template, photography that can be used for the business website, fliers, and any marketing as well as a membership through the Women’s Business Center for a year to help with continued support of the client and their business.

From the back office to the front lines, their Encore Volunteers support and lead Fairhill Partners’ programs and services. Each year, hundreds of volunteers hammer, paint, enter data, make copies, make reminder calls, help older adults find benefits, lead Take Charge of Your Health! workshops and other classes, facilitate educational sessions, help with their fundraiser and other special events, create and analyze financial reports, and so much more.

Connecting individuals to volunteer opportunities throughout Cuyahoga County, as well as addressing social isolation among older adults through their Chat Pals friendly calling (video or phone) program and the digital divide by offering free video platform classes to older adults.
They also assist early readers by improving their literacy skills through the AARP Foundation Experience Corps program.

Through capital, services and connections, JumpStart strives to create equitable opportunities and accessible business assistance for Black, Hispanic/Latino and women-led companies.
The Encore Mentoring Program presented by JumpStart in partnership with the Union Miles Development Corporation, will provide targeted mentorship from subject matter experts (SMEs) for entrepreneurs seeking guidance (accounting, legal, etc.) for their businesses.

Since 1995 Leadership Geauga County has been developing leaders in all sectors, fostering collaboration and shared commitment to Geauga’s Communities.
Three programs are available for exposing class participants to communities’ realities, opportunities, and challenges so that they may positively contribute to Geauga and surrounding Counties economic, social and civic development 1. Signature Program, for Leaders in the work force, 2. Youth Institute, for developing young leaders in High School, and the newest; 3. Heritage Program for retirees, who after behind the scenes tours of community sectors, access to community leaders, are inspired to connect, take personal action and become a positive part of the solution to some of Geauga County’s challenges.

Manufacturing Works helps northeast Ohio manufacturing companies thrive by delivering solutions that support their people, enhance their productivity, and help them prosper.
This is accomplished by providing the guidance and knowledge that help manufacturers understand the fast-changing trends in technology, talent, and organizational leadership.
