Be present in all things and thankful for all things.

Happy Thanksgiving season! During the month of November Stamford Cradle to Career is grateful for our many community partners, investors and trusted relationships with the parents and youth of Stamford.
We are honored to partner with Stamford Public Schools and Horizons to celebrate and remember the life of Lavone Roberson who passed away last month after a long battle with cancer. Lavone was a dedicated member of our CAN and worked with joy to help kids in both Stamford and Norwalk be successful. We want to provide one of Lavone’s children’s books to each 3rd grade classroom in our schools here in Stamford. Visit "Books for our Stamford Students" for more information.
We work intently on elevating the authentic voices in our community at Stamford Cradle to Career. One of the best strategies in civic engagement is voting, we encourage all registered voters to get to the polls on November 8th. If you require information regarding voting in Stamford, please click here voting locations.
This election season, SC2C co-hosted two Community Board of Education Forums alongside the Alliance for Black Achievement BOE Candidates Forum and the Parent Teacher Council Angela Lorenti Memorial Board of Education Candidate Forum. We would like to thank the candidates, moderators, timekeepers, and attendees for your participation in these very informative events.
We continue to be committed to providing the families and community members with information regarding upcoming events with the use of our SC2C Calendar. Please register any family serving events with us as stamfordcradletocareer@gmail.com.
Lastly, please visit our website at stamfordcradletocareer.org to review our upcoming community offers such as our Spanish Language Parent Seminar Series- Rising Highly Capable kids and the Community HUSKY 101 Training. We are also growing our team! We have job opportunities posted and are searching for the best and brightest candidates to help us serve the families of Stamford. Please share this opportunity with your network.
In gratitude,
Edith Presley
